The Speedline LTA is a self contained line-throwing unit consisting of a waterproof plastic casing with end cap, twist grip trigger assembly, rocket and line. Replaces and supersedes the Speedine 250 Rocket Linethrower.

The Pains Wessex LTA is designed for ease of operation in the most extreme weather conditions. It can be used in all situations where a line is required to be passed accurately and quickly, these include:-

All line throwing operations between vessels, ship to shore, shore to ship and shore based rescue operations. Rescue of swimmers in distress and Line carrying across obstacles and in rough terrain. The unit has a throwing range of between 230 and 250m. It is fully compliant to the latest international SOLAS / Ships Wheel Approval regulations

Application:
A self-contained line-throwing appliance consisting of a plastic case with an end cap and 250m of line , an integral striker mechanism plus a rocket.  Fired by a twist grip and used for passing a 4mm dia. line from ship to ship and ship to shore or for rescuing a swimmer in distress. Ships typically have to carry 4 units to comply with SOLAS regulations.

The supplied brand/model may vary to the listed flare brand due to supply issues & so we can get you the best prices & expiry dates! They will of course be of the same high quality. Please let us know if there is a problem & we will let you know pricing/availability on the original brand. 
 
Expiration Dates: We will supply the most recent dates possible. However a few months, from date of manufacture can elapse due to time taken for transport to NZ & distribution. All Distress Flares carry a 3 year expiry date. This is due to the marine environment in which they are typically stored and because the pyrotechnic performance diminishes after that time.
 
Important Freight Note : Because of their pyrotechnic nature, distress flares will incur a 'Dangerous Goods Transport' charge as they require special transportation.
International Orders: Flares cannot be sent by post and can only be shipped by surface vessel.
