This Kannad Safelink Marine 406Mhz EPIRB not only comes with built-in GPS but includes an automatic hydrostatic deployment housing which releases and activates the unit in the event of a sudden emergency, if crew are unable to operate manually. The H20 Hydrostatic system is set to release the beacon at a depth of between 1 and 4 metres.
The unit can still be operated manually if time and circumstances permit.
This ultra compact and stylish 406 MHz EPIRB comes with a built in high accuracy GPS as standard, for enhanced position location and a user replaceable battery* with a 7 year life.
Meeting the demands of both commercial mariners and recreational boaters, the new Kannad Safelink 406 Marine EPIRB heralds the arrival of the next generation in EPIRB technology to suit all craft including commercial fishing and ocean-going ships and yachts.
This ultra compact and stylish 406 MHz EPIRB comes with a built in high accuracy GPS as standard, for enhanced position location and a user replaceable battery* with a 6 year life.
The Kannad Safelink 406 MHz EPIRB is designed to operate with the COSPAS-SARSAT international search and rescue system.
The unique hexidecimal coded signal instantly alerts the Rescue Co-ordination Centre allowing them to identify vessel and operator, while the built in GPS receiver ensures that an accurate position of a casualty is relayed to the rescue services, constantly updating position in the event of the vessel or liferaft drifting, thereby speeding location and recovery.
The Safelink also broadcasts on the 121.5Mhz international rescue frequency on which most commercial aircraft maintain a listening watch and allows the SAR to home in quickly.
An added feature is the flashing LED strobe which provides night time ID.

This compact container enables safe testing without removing the EPIRB thereby reducing handling and risk of inadvertent activation
